Cost: $35 for museum members; $45 for non-members
Create from the Collection is an in-depth study of an object, art movement, and/or the artistic techniques and processes featured in the collection galleries OR Special Exhibitions. Experience a hands-on immersive art history lesson with the tools and tricks of the trade! Each session features an in-gallery examination of an artwork, followed by an in-studio art project.
Note: The materials used in this workshop will be messy in nature and have the potential to stain clothing. It is recommended to dress for the mess!
Egg Painting:
Explore the artful tradition of egg painting! Participants will create their own symbolic painted egg while learning about the beautifully intricate designs and techniques used in the delicate pysanky process. Ages 12 and up welcome. No drawing experience necessary.
