Adopt-A-Treasure

In honor of The Dayton Art Institute’s 90th Anniversary celebration, the museum is offering a special adoption program.  A wide variety of works in the museum’s permanent collection, from Monet to Nevelson and Bissolo, are available for sponsorship.

The 90 Treasures will be announced on June 27 and continues through December 31, 2009.  We are excited to highlight our own masterpieces in 90 Treasures, and focus on the art that is a part of our community every day.

Please view below images and names of the works available for adoption.  They have been grouped at $10,000, $5,000, $2,500, and $1,000 levels.  Think about the works that are your favorites, which you visit time and time again, or perhaps remember from a school field trip as a child.

There will be an accompanying label displayed with each work of art, which will include your name and any other designation you would like to make.  For example, “In honor of my grandchildren, Kate and William Smith.”  Also, The Dayton Art Institute will host a special gathering on Tuesday, June 23, 6:00 – 8:00pm for all our adoptive parents and their families as a special thank you for your support.

We will be happy to meet with you personally to share a complete list of the works in the exhibition. This adoption program will provide important support to the museum.  Your generosity enables the museum to inspire and provide art experiences for young and old alike.

For more information, please call Dona Vella, Deputy Director for Development and External Affairs,at 937-512-0143, email dvella@daytonartinstitute.org or download form, and send it in with your top two choices to 456 Belmonte Park North, Dayton OH 45405 or fax it to 937-223-3140.
